CMR Middelburg has two Child and Youth Care Centres

• Zuid opened in March 2015

• SADC opened in December 2016

Zuid CYCC

​

The purpose of Zuid is to provide children that immediately need to be protected for a short term from possible dangers, a place of safety until the best interest of the child is determined and the best place for the child has been identified. Since the opening of the house more than a 100 children were safeguarded in the house.

SADC CYCC

​

The purpose of SADC is to provide children with a home where they are loved and nurtured in order to develop into their best selves. We hope that the children staying in the centre, will see the centre as their home. We are proud to have a partnership with Christian Outreach for Africa, who is committed to the development of the children.

Development of the children

​

The CYCCs are focused on the healthy development of the children entrusted in its care by providing:

​

• Therapeutic programmes that to address any traumatic experiences and develop life skills

• Educational programmes that ensure that their basic rights are met and supporting extramural activities,

• Medical programmes that encourage healthy lifestyles and regular medical treatment, and

• Spiritual programmes that creates opportunities for spiritual growth.
